Sahib Sports is more than just a brand; it’s a legacy of excellence that began in 1995. Our journey started with Mr. Muhammad Shafiq in Sialkot, Pakistan, where he began crafting high-quality martial arts uniforms under the name “Shafiq Karate Suit Maker.” Driven by a deep passion for martial arts and a commitment to quality, Mr. Shafiq quickly established a reputation for superior craftsmanship.
In 2010, I, Mr. Tayyab Sabeeh, his son, joined the family business while pursuing my studies. Gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing, stitching, pressing, and packing, I was deeply involved in shaping and preparing our business for future growth.
In 2015, we officially registered Sahib Sports Co. with the Chamber of Commerce in Sialkot. This step allowed us to expand our reach and introduce our private label, “Sahib.” The name “Sahib” translates to “master” or “respected one,” similar to the Japanese term “Sensei,” honoring our grandfather and reflecting our commitment to excellence and respect in the martial arts community.
In 2018, I visited Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, as a sponsor to understand market needs and explore opportunities. This visit was instrumental in our decision to move to the UAE in 2022. We established a new base there, officially registering our company and focusing on developing our brand. This led to the exciting launch of our first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) collection in 2024, marking a significant milestone in our journey.
